Travelling between Christchurch and Picton, the Coastal Pacific journeys breathtakingly close to the Pacific Ocean, where the roaring, windblown sea meets enormous bush-clad mountains. Stop in Kaikoura for the day and experience some of the colourful township’s world famous eco-tourism activities, such as whale watching or swimming with dolphins.

The Coastal Pacific connects with the Interislander ferry and Sounds Air flights, which take you between the port of Picton and our capital city, Wellington, taking in the magnificent Marlborough Sounds.
