A perfect half day option for Experienced and Novice riders. Enjoy the stunning scenery with picturesque Mountain views and glacial fed river-crossings. Be captivated by stories of the area, rich history and many filming locations from Lord Of The Rings.

This 2.5-hour ride caters beginners through intermediate/experienced riders. It is designed to take in the beautiful scenery Glenorchy has to offer. This ride takes clients across farmland and out onto the Rees River, where they will experience crossing glacial fed waters, ride amongst the lupin fields, and be awe inspired by the beautiful snow-capped mountain ranges known famously from LOTR, Hobbit, Narnia, Mission Impossible and Wolverine etc. There will be opportunities to stop and take photos and get expert commentary for the areas that you see.

Need to Know
2.5 hours in the saddle. Helmet, boots, & jackets are provided for tour. Under 7 not permitted. Max weight per rider is 210lbs. You will be weighed at check in and introduced to the horse that best suits your riding ability and weight. Tour subject to change due to weather or river conditions. Please wear pants and closed shoes and bring sunglasses, sunscreen, socks, gloves, and scarf. Transfers to hotel offered if prearranged and at a possible price increase.
